I first joined Abacus in 2017 as an unqualified practitioner who was interested in furthering a career in early childhood education. Through the support of the management team I gained an early years qualification and continued my career path throughout the company, to today where I am a manager of one of the setting we have.
Each day is different to be able to create safe, welcoming and enriching environments for children to learn, discover and grow is rewarding and gives me a sense of pride.

I joined Abacus following 18 years working in Financial Services. It was a huge career change and I was able to work through my early years educator apprenticeship and achieve my level 3 with the support of the managers and team at Abacus.
I am now working as a Deputy Manager at our Stoke Gifford site and continue to grow in my professional development with the support of everyone at Abacus.

I have been in childcare for 15 years but started at Abacus preschool back in November 2021 at Meadowbrook as the Deputy Manager. I absolutely loved it and all the staff and children were lovely making my first year a great experience. I then went on maternity leave for 9 months. When I returned back, a year later I am now relocated at the Emerson Green site as Manager to cover maternity leave. Being at Emerson Green is wonderful and I have learned so much by stepping up as acting Manager with the support from Amanda the business support manger and my directors Jayne and Nicky.
I was able to bring both my children with me which has been a huge help with childcare cost. I wouldn’t send my children anyways else. I Love Abacus preschool 🙂

I first joined Abacus in January 2016, I worked part-time but very soon became a full time member of staff. I have worked in our 4 sites over the years and in 2021 I became Deputy at our Emersons Green site, alongside Charlie and now Marnie, where I have continued to grow in my professional development with the support of everyone and directors at Abacus. I enjoy coming to work every day as no one day is the same. We offer the children a safe, enriching environment to help with their development and interests.
